Angry Boniface attacks Nigerian pundit who says he does not have football talent

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has expressed his anger following comments made by Pulse Sports analyst Tea during a recent episode of The Heat podcast, where she claimed he lacks football talent.

In the video, shared on Instagram, she stated, “I am sorry, he doesn’t have talent... maybe that’s why he is always posting memes.”

This criticism comes after Boniface's unsuccessful transfer attempt to Al Nassr in January and while he continues to recover from a hamstring injury that had kept him out of competitive football since last year.

In response to the viral clip, Boniface took to Snapchat, posting a screenshot of the pundit with the caption "See idiot," marking his second reaction to the podcast's content.

His first response was prompted by a comparison made between him and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as the analysts claimed the Bundesliga winner is not better than his Senegalese counterpart.

Despite the controversy, Boniface made a notable return to action for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring his first goal of the year during a Bundesliga match.

This goal came on his 50th appearance for the club since joining in the summer of 2023 and has now impressively netted 30 goals and provided 10 assists for the invincible champions.

His performance continues to show that the Super Eagles man remains one of Europe's most productive strikers, despite facing challenges with injuries over the past two seasons.

The criticism from Pulse Sports Nigeria’s The Heat crew has also not gone down well with Nigerians and Boniface’s fans, who did not hold back with their expressed frustrations.
