Angry Orlando Pirates fan demands Olisa Ndah be deported after own goal
It was an evening to forget for Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah after an Orlando Pirates fan called for his deportation following a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the South African league.
Ndah's 10-man Pirates suffered heartbreak in the Soweto derby following a narrow 1-0 defeat on Saturday evening with the Nigerian scoring the goal.
The talented centre back came off the bench to make the decisive difference between the two teams after he scored a late goal to hand the Amakhosi the bragging right in the derby.
Ndah returns from three months layoff
The game against Chiefs was the first in three months for the Super Eagles defender who had been out injured.
The 25-year-old last featured for Pirates against Amazulu in the MTN-8 final back in November last year.
Ndah has been superb for the Buccaneers since he joined the club from former Nigerian champions Akwa United back in the summer of 2021.
He's won the MTN-8 with the South African side and also helped them reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Reactions
Following the defeat, fans of both clubs have taken to social media to react to the game between the two teams.
Some of the fans didn't hold back on their criticism, with one of them calling for Ndah to be sent back to Nigeria.
Here are some of the reactions from the fans.
What the result means
While Ndah has proven to be a solid signing for Pirates, his return from injury after three months and introduction on Saturday failed to inspire the Buccaneers end their poor run in the Soweto derby.
The defeat yesterday saw Chiefs extend their unbeaten run against their city rivals to four matches.
Kaizer Chiefs have now won each of the last four matches between them, with the latest taking them level with Pirates on points on the league table.
