The captain of the Super Eagles, William Troost-Ekong, has joined fans in celebrating Alex Iwobi's stunning goal for Fulham during their recent match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Troost-Ekong took to Instagram to share his excitement, sharing a picture of Iwobi celebrating with teammate Calvin Bassey after the game.

Fulham started the match on a high note, taking an early lead when Iwobi collected a pass from Kenny Tete at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot into the far corner.

However, their advantage was short-lived as Wolves quickly equalised. Mario Lemina delivered a precise pass over Fulham's defence, allowing Matheus Cunha to score with a deft finish.

The second half saw Wolves take control of the game. Just seven minutes in, Joao Gomes scored to give Wolves the lead, followed by another goal from Cunha, who curled a beautiful shot over Fulham's goalkeeper Bernd Leno. 

The away team continued to dominate, with substitute Goncalo Guedes sealing the victory with a fourth goal.

Despite the heavy defeat for Fulham, Iwobi's opener was the standout moment that captured attention across social media. 

Fans and teammates alike praised his skill and potential, with Troost-Ekong leading the way with his enthusiastic response.

“Anodaa banger,” he posted, reflecting his admiration for Iwobi's remarkable strike.

Iwobi’s wonder strike is the latest from a Nigerian, coming just weeks after Super Eagles Ola Aina also unleashed an unstoppable effort with his weaker foot.

The ex-Chelsea star wrapped up proceedings, scoring in the 78th minute to ensure Forest surpassed Arsenal in points and goal difference at the time.
