Even though Anthony Joshua lost catastrophically during his most recent bout, Eddie Hearn believes he still has the strongest hand in the heavyweight deck.

Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight champion, recently lost to Daniel Dubois via fifth-round knockout in September.

Until the Gypsy King's sudden retirement last month, all indications were that Joshua will finally face Tyson Fury this year.

Before making a comeback, Joshua will now need to wait patiently and watch how the heavyweight division develops over the next months.

According to reports, Joshua earned $60 million from his fights against Dubois and Francis Ngannou on Riyadh Season shows last year.

Joshua wants to fight twice this year, Hearn stated, the first being in the summer and the second by the end of the year.

And that fight won't take place next if Fury doesn't come out of retirement shortly.

Other choices include the winner of Zhilei Zhang v Agit Kabayel, Martin Bakole, Deontay Wilder, or the winner of Dubois vs Joseph Parker.
