Anthony Joshua vows not to wait for Tyson Fury
English professional boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua has given his thoughts on the collapsed undisputed heavyweight title fight.
The 34-year-old Joshua is preparing for his return to the ring against American professional boxer Jermaine Franklin next month.
Joshua is in Dallas Texas in the United States of America (USA) targeting a return to winning ways.
Joshua on Usyk and Fury's undisputed fight
Joshua lost the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles to Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk was engaged in talks for an undisputed title fight with English professional boxer and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
The negotiations for the undisputed heavyweight fight between Usyk and Fury have now been called off.
Joshua in a report by Michael Benson stated that negotiations with Fury always end up messy.
The former unified champion added that he fought Usyk twice and the negotiations went well without difficulties.
He said, "Look at all the s*** they are going through now. It's just crazy.
"It's good that people can actually see the s*** that people have got to put up with to make a fight. Me and Usyk got two successful fights done.
Joshua also went on to state that he will not wait to fight Fury as his career does not depend on it.
He added, "I can't say I'm just going to wait for this geezer. There are other great fights out there I can have.
“Without Fury on my record, I will not regret my whole boxing career. If he is on it, I am on it. If he is not, whatever."
Joshua was in negotiations with Fury for a massive all-British showdown last year before an ultimatum was issued.
Joshua returns to the ring against Franklin at the O2 SArena in London on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
