'Apologise to Noah Lyles' - Reactions after USA loses Basketball game to Lithuania
Basketball fans worldwide were dealt to a shocking upset of the USA men's basketball team losing to European powerhouse Lithuania at the FIBA World Cup.
Lithuania defeated the US team 110-104 in Manila on Sunday, dominating all quarters of the game to ensure their victory and strengthening their already qualified spot in the quarterfinals.
Despite losing, the US team also qualified as they had already clinched their quarterfinal spots last week, and the clash against the European giants was just for seeding purposes. Likewise, they've qualified for the Olympics as one of the top two teams from the Americas at the World Cup.
Biggest upset of the tournament so far? 🚨

However, regardless of these positives from the loss, their shortcoming has been met with online backlash from basketball fans and non-fans. It's regarding track star Noah Lyles's shade at NBA title winners being called 'world champions' when they're not the best in the world.
His statement led to several NBA players and lovers coming for Lyles on his opinion. So the loss to Lithuania has led to several online reactions and many saying: "Apologise to Lyles."

The US team has now lost at least one game at three consecutive global tournaments after two defeats at the 2019 World Cup (en-route to a program-worst seventh-place finish) and a group-stage defeat at the Tokyo Olympics (en route to a fourth consecutive gold).
