The belligerents broke into the Inter Miami’s star home and vandalised the property. They spray painted the walls with red and black hues, and employing a banner, they sent out an outrageous message, “Help the planet. Eat the rich. Abolish the police.”

According to ESPN, the perpetrators deemed their action “non-violent civil disobedience,” and alleged that Messi built the house illegally. The 37-year-old is domiciled in Miami with his family, while his MLS career lasts, and as such, was not in the home at the time.

"In Spain, communists who want to "murder the rich and abolish the police to end climate change" vandalised a home of Lionel Messi and his family,” Milei said on X.

"I stand in solidarity with the Messi family for this cowardly and delusional event and I ask Pedro Sanchez's government to guarantee the safety of the Argentine citizens who live in the Kingdom of Spain.

"Communism is an ideology fostered by envy, hatred and resentment towards the successful. It has no place in the free and civilised world."

Meanwhile, Milei reportedly fired Argentina’s deputy sports minister, after the official enjoined Messi to apologise for the racially charged celebratory singing that got the likes of Enzo Fernandes in trouble.
