Argentina vs Nigeria: Flying Eagles storm Santiago for FIFA U-20 World Cup round of 16 clash
The Nigeria U20 national team known as the Flying Eagles, touched down in Santiago on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The team switched venues as they gear up for a highly anticipated Round of 16 clash against Argentina in the FIFA U20 World Cup.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) posted several photos of the Flying Eagles arrival in Santiago.
Along with the photo was a message that said, "The 🦅 Flying Eagles 🇳🇬 have arrived Santiago, venue of their Round of 16 clash with Argentina on Wednesday.
"They will train at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos on Tuesday as they prepare for the all-important game against the Argentines."
The youthful squad arrived stepping off yellow and blue buses outside a modern venue in puffer jackets.
The Flying Eagles, seven-time African champions, advanced to the knockout stage with a mixed group performance.
Their campaign began with a 1-0 loss to Norway but They bounced back with a thrilling 3-2 win against Saudi Arabia, securing three points with a late penalty, before finishing with a 1-1 draw against Colombia.
This resulted in four points from three games, qualifying them as one of the best third-placed teams.
In Chile, Argentina have been undefeated in all three group games, picking up all nine points.
They started with a 3-1 win against Cuba, followed by a commanding 4-1 victory over Australia in their second match, and sealed their perfect group campaign with a 1-0 win against Italy.
The game between Nigeria and Argentina is set for Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
