"Truly wonderful" - Carlos Alcaraz shows no remorse after dismantling Novak Djokovic in US Open semifinals
Novak Djokovic simply ran out of steam in the US Open semifinal.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion saw his campaign halted by the young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who delivered an exceptional performance against the Serb in the semifinals.
Alcaraz brushed aside the Serbian great in straight sets: 4-6, 6-7, 2-6.
This marked Alcaraz's first career victory over Djokovic on a hard court surface.

What Alcaraz said?
After his dominant display against Novak, Alcaraz was visibly pleased and addressed the media.
"It's truly a wonderful feeling to be back in the US Open final; it's fantastic and means a lot to me. It wasn't my best level or my best tennis today, but I maintained my focus until the end.
"The key was to stay focused throughout the match. This was a physical match, exactly how I wanted it to be, and I'm happy to be playing in my second US Open final. Sergio Garria owes me 100 dollars. I had two days off with Sergey and David. We played doubles and we won." - Carlos Alcaraz
