Arsenal are reportedly working on signing Ajax defender Jurrien Timber this transfer window.
The 22-year-old centre-back was close to joining Manchester United last summer following Erik ten Hag's appointment, but a deal did not materialise.
He has since been linked with the club, but per recent reports, he could be playing for the North Londoners next season.
Timber to Arsenal
According to the Athletic's David Ornstein, the Gunners are preparing an offer worth £30 for the Netherlands international.
There is a big disparity between what Arsenal are preparing to offer and Ajax's £50 million request; however, the reports claim there's optimism that a middle ground will be found.
Arsenal are reportedly in agreement with the player on personal terms, with negotiations with Ajax the current agenda.
Timber started 34 league games for the Eredivisie giants in the 2022/23 season, scoring twice and assisting twice.
Folarin Balogun believes he is worthy to fight for a place in Mikel Arteta’s squad for next season's campaign.
The Arsenal striker played last season on loan in France with Ligue 1 side Reims scoring 21 goals.
