Defender Clement Lenglet has reached a full agreement with Atletico Madrid and will join the team permanently, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The French defender, formerly owned by Barcelona, has terminated his contract with the Catalan club and will move to the Civitas Metropolitano as a free agent.

He will sign a contract until 2028. Last season, Lenglet played a total of 34 matches for Atletico, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists under Diego Simeone, who was keen to retain him for the upcoming season.
Lenglet was signed by Barcelona in the summer of 2018 from Sevilla for €36 million but failed to establish himself in the Catalan side.

He was subsequently loaned out to Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Atletico Madrid, where he will now remain permanently.
