BAL: Rivers Hoopers beat Armée Patriotique Rwandaise for 2nd victory

Rivers Hoopers became the first Nigerian side to win back-to-back games in the BAL with an 86-82 victory over Armée Patriotique Rwandaise.

In what ended up being a closely contested game, APR scored the first points with purposeful possession.

But Will Perry immediately answered for the Hoopers, tying the game at the half with a well-executed layup.

By the first three minutes of the third quarter, the lead had changed hands at least six times in the closely contested game.

As the fourth quarter began, Rivers Hoopers led 63–62, putting them ahead once again.

Kelvin Amayo led the game in assists with seven, and he also scored thirteen points and tallied three steals, just like he did in Game 1 against AS Douanes.

The best player in the first game, Devine Eke, tied with NBA Africa Academy/BAL Elevate star David Ike of the Hoopers for a game-high eight rebounds and 19 points.

John Wilkins finished with nine points, four rebounds, and three steals, while Peter Olisemeka finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
