Barcelona receive €100m sponsorship proposal from Qatar

Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly received a sponsorship offer worth €100m from Qatar.

Barcelona's financial limitations are common knowledge to all within the game with the club having to stay afloat via creative means and salary cuts.

Their sorry situation was highlighted most recently in the Lionel Messi case as a failure to act quickly due to financial restraints allowed the Argentine legend to move to MLS side Inter Miami.

Barcelona receive Qatar sponsorship offer

Barca president Joan Laporta was recently spotted in Qatar and, according to 90min, his visit had something to do with a potential franchise partnership.

The report states that an unnamed Qatari side have offered Barcelona a cool €100m in exchange for the rights to use the Blaugrana's name as part of their own. 

The LaLiga champions are yet to respond or offer any kind of statement and it remains to be seen how this would play out as the Blaugrana continue to work hard to stay within the league's financial fair play limits.
