Barcelona to offer midfielder with 500m buy out clause in a bid to land Inter's Brozovic
LaLiga champions FC Barcelona have reportedly considered using midfielder Franck Kessie as a make-shift in a deal to sign Marcelo Brozovic.
According to a report from 90 min via Fotmob, Barcelona are in talks with Inter Milan to bring the defensive midfielder to the Spotify Camp Nou.
Brozovic has been identified by Xavi Hernandez, the Barcelona boss, as the replacement for departed legend Sergio Busquets.
Barcelona to use Kessie as make-shift
The Ivorian midfielder joined the Catalans last summer on a free transfer from Inter rivals AC Milan as a free agent.
However, despite a celebrated transfer last summer, the 28-year-old has struggled to find his feet at the club.
12 months after he joined, Kessie, who has a 500 million euros clause in his Barcelona contract, could be a part of the deal that will see Brozovic join from Inter.
According to the report, Barcelona are hopeful that adding Kessie to the deal will make Inter accept to part with the Croatian star as the LaLiga champions continue their search for a replacement for Busquets.
However, it seems the deal won’t be as straightforward as the LaLiga champions would love.
Kessie wants an early exit from Camp Nou but is not interested in a return to Italy just 12 months after he left.
