PSG star Lionel Messi will bring his two-year stay in Paris to an end this summer and his likely destination remains former stomping ground, Nou Camp, home of Barcelona.
According to 90min, Barcelona are waiting for the green light from LaLiga in order to proceed with plans to bring the Argentine World Cup winner back on a free transfer.
Lewandowski excited for Messi's arrival
Barca striker Lewandowski, in an interview with Spanish Outlet Sport, claimed he couldn't wait for Messi to arrive.
"We have to wait to see if Leo comes to Barcelona. I hope he comes. Maybe something more concrete will be known in a few days," he said.
"I know that playing with him is very easy, because Leo can play with you from any position on the field at any time in the game. He is a player that any team would like to have."
Lewandowski has shone in his first season at Barcelona, helping the club win LaLiga with important goals and looks set to win the golden boot ahead of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
