The Negotiation Process

Bayern Munich initially approached Newcastle United with a loan bid followed by a cash offer for Trippier. However, both of these initial approaches were rejected by Newcastle.

Fresh reports were suggesting that Bayern was willing to offer up to €16 million for the English defender, but it appears that even this amount was insufficient to seal the deal.

Decision to Withdraw

Ultimately, Bayern Munich decided to pull out of the negotiations. Christoph Freund, speaking to Sky Sports Germany, emphasized the club's commitment to making decisions that they are completely convinced about.

"Kieran Trippier's deal is off. We only do what we are 100% convinced of," he stated as reported by Fabrizio. This decision reflects Bayern's cautious approach to transfers, ensuring that every signing aligns perfectly with the club's strategy and vision.

Newcastle United's Stance

For Newcastle United, there was no pressing need to sell Trippier, despite their awareness that his sale could ease Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns.

The club underscored their intention to retain Trippier by posting pictures of him in training, along with a message emphasizing his importance to the team.

Newcastle's manager, Eddie Howe, has previously spoken highly of Trippier, describing him as a transformative signing and the heartbeat of the team.

This development means that Bayern Munich will now likely turn their attention to other defensive targets, while Kieran Trippier remains a key player for Newcastle United
