Bayern Munich prepares new offer for Luis Diaz, with backup option also in place

Diaz has been on Bayern Munich's radar since the start of the transfer window, with the Bundesliga champions looking to bolster their attack.

However, despite several approaches from Bayern, Liverpool have pushed back on negotiating a deal with the German side.

According to Nicolo Schira, via Sportal, Bayern are looking to increase their offer for Diaz, which will be around €75 million.

The Italian journalist adds that Diaz has already agreed to a five-year contract with Bayern, while Christian Falk specifies the player's salary would be €14 million per season plus bonuses.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Bavarians have already identified a backup option in Olympique Lyonnais's Malick Fofana.

They have reportedly already contacted Olympique Lyonnais to discuss the terms of a potential deal for the forward.
