Bellingham strikes again as Real Madrid comeback twice to beat Barcelona
Barcelona took an early lead, but Real Madrid equalised. The Blaugrana went in front again deep into the second half, but the day belonged to 'Mentality Monsters' Los Merengues, as they scored twice after to draw level and then win the game.
Trailing eight points coming into the game at Santiago Bernabeu, Barcelona needed to win to keep the title race alive.
They showed bravery and application against an exhausted Real Madrid from midweek exploits, but Los Merengues superior individual quality won the day, as they all but confirmed themselves as LALIGA champions.
How it happened
Barcelona took an early lead in the sixth minute when Andreas Christensen headed home from a corner delivered by Raphinha. However, Real Madrid responded swiftly, with Lucas Vázquez winning a penalty after being brought down by Pau Cubarsà in the box. VinÃcius Júnior stepped up and converted the spot-kick to level the score.
The match continued to see-saw as FermÃn López restored Barcelona's lead in the 70th minute after a mistake by Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin. However, Real Madrid equalized once again just moments later, with Lucas Vázquez finding the back of the net from a VinÃcius cross.
As Barcelona pushed for a late equalizer, it was Real Madrid who struck the decisive blow, with Jude Bellingham scoring in the 88th minute to secure all three points for the home side.
