Blow for Manchester United! Neymar to reunite with Pochettino as Chelsea open talks to sign PSG star
Neymar remains one of the most talented footballers in Europe and the Brazilian is reportedly on the market as PSG look to cut ties with the talented but inconsistent star.
Regardless of his problems in Paris, Neymar still recorded 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 games for PSG last season before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in February. Those numbers show the 31-year-old still has what it takes to thrive at the highest level.
Neymar to Chelsea?
According to Le10Sport, Chelsea, led by new manager Mauricio Pochettino have opened negotiations with PSG for Neymar, after it was reported early last week that Manchester United had shown a genuine interest in the playmaker.
Chelsea had a disappointing season and are looking to make signings to not only lift the profile of the club but lift the technical ceiling and playing style.
Mauricio Pochettino worked with Neymar at PSG where the duo won the French Ligue 1 together and a reunion could be on the cards.
It remains to be seen if the lack of Champions League football for Chelsea next season could scupper any plans.
