Boniface punishes Onyedika’s Club Brugge to fire Union SG back to title race
Boniface and his Union Saint-Gilloise club are back in the title race in the Belgian Jupiler following a crucial win over Club Brugge.
The Nigeria Super Eagles hopeful was a handful for Brugge as he scored the decisive goal that gave Union SG a 2-1 win on Saturday.
Boniface added a second on the day but he was denied more glory by the VAR that ruled it off for offside.

The 22-year-old was on the pitch for 90 minutes before he was subbed off for what looked like an injury.
Apart from the goal, Boniface completed two dribbles and helped out his team defensively with one tackle, two recoveries and four ground duels won.
Boniface has now scored 14 goals this season for the former Europa League campaigners.
Meanwhile, Boniface was not the only Nigerian on the pitch, Raphael Onyedika played from start to finish for Brugge.
Onyedika had a good game in the middle of the park for the visitors but ended up on the losing side as their title aspirations came to an end.
Union SG back in the title race
Two goals in either half, first from Boniface and then the second from Ivorian star Jean Thierry Lazare, just seconds after the restart, set Saint-Gilloise on their way to winning.
Hans Vanaken pulled one back late on to make it an interesting final minutes but Union held on for an crucial win.
With the victory, Saint-Gilloise are now joint top with Genk and are back in the race for the Jupiler title this season.
