The first half lacked any clear cut goal-scoring opportunities, with an officiating controversy involving an unpunished challenge on Luis Díaz causing frustration for Jürgen Klopp.

However, the second period proved more dynamic, as Darwin Núñez opened the scoring finishing off an impressive team move. 

Diogo Jota extended Liverpool's lead with a near-post finish, later adding a second goal with a far-corner effort. 

Núñez completed his brace in stoppage time, securing a 4-0 victory for Liverpool. 

The win propelled them five points clear at the top of the table, maintaining a safe distance from Manchester City. Bournemouth, in mid-table, remains comfortably clear of relegation but distant from European contention.
