Bukayo Saka: England star provides shelter for 26 families displaced by earthquake in Turkey
After scoring his first career hat-trick during England’s 7-0 thrashing of North Macedonia, Bukayo Saka is on the headlines again for a compassionate reason.
The Arsenal star helped 26 families affected by the earthquake in eastern Turkey with accommodation problems.
The disaster killed more than 50,000 people including Ghanaian international Christian Atsu and rendered over 2 million people homeless.
In collaboration with BigShoe, a non-governmental organization who helps children around the world, joined hands with Saka in the project of helping families have shelter.
NGO praises Saka’s gesture
BigShoe made a post on their Twitter handle to appreciate Saka’s gesture:
"Many people lost their homes in the earthquake in Turkey. Together with BigShoe, the English international @BukayoSaka87 therefore financed accommodation for the victims: 26 affected families now live in a container - including bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms."
