Wigan have already been ducked points for persistent wage debt in the Championship and currently sit bottom of the division.
They suffered a three-point deduction just three days ago, and now the players have taken matters into their own hands, deciding to skip training until they are paid their wages.
Wigan suffer more issues with Championship relegation looming
Wigan owner Abdulrahman Al-Jasmi has stated that finding a way to pay the wages is his top priority as the club has undergone their most challenging period recently.
Wigan are bottom of the Championship and are five points from safety, with relegation to League One staring The Latics in the face.
Wigan had previously gained promotion to the Championship by winning League One in the 2021/22 season, and had hoped that they would be able to kick on from that to more success, but things seem to be falling apart at the DW Stadium.
