Chelsea, Arsenal to wrestle Manchester United for France star
Manchester United have been linked with the signing of Monaco's Axel Disasi in recent weeks, and according to reports, Erik ten Hag is set to begin talks with the French international.
However, their Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have now reportedly registered interest in the player.
The race for Disasi's signature
According to L'Equipe, the 25-year-old defender is expected to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer and is keen to join the Red Devils, who have him on their summer wish list.
Disasi is expected to cost €40 million, and although the Manchester-based club are yet to table an offer, they are in pole position to land the player.
The Red Devils might be forced to accelerate their moves for the player, as Chelsea, who are expected to lose Kalidou Koulibaly to Saudi Arabia, and Arsenal have been reported to have the player on their radar and could provide competition.
Disasi started all but one league game for Monaco this season, scoring three goals while setting up three others despite playing as a defender.
Mount's contract at Chelsea expires in a year, although negotiations to extend it have not yet resulted in a successful resolution.
