Uganda handed a debut to Charles Mushemeza, who took over wicket-keeping duties in place of the injured Cyrus Kakuru.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Namibia was initially contained by a disciplined Ugandan bowling attack. Pace bowlers Juma Miyaji and Cosmas Kyewuta maintained a tight line, restricting the hosts to 71/1 after 20 overs. The first-change bowlers, Riazat Ali Shah and Kenneth Waiswa, also kept the run rate in check.

However, the momentum shifted dramatically with the arrival of Gerhard Erasmus. The Namibian captain launched an aggressive assault on the Ugandan bowlers, racing to a half-century from just 49 balls. His blistering 88 completely changed the complexion of the innings, as Namibia piled on 232 runs in the final 30 overs to set a formidable target.

Little Resistance from Cricket Cranes as Namibia Triumph

Despite the onslaught, Cosmas Kyewuta was the standout performer for the visitors, finishing with figures of 3/43 on a challenging day for the bowlers.

Uganda's run chase got off to a disastrous start. Namibian fast bowler Reuben Trumplemann tore through the top order, leaving the Cricket Cranes reeling at 15/3 within the first three overs. Trumplemann's express pace, which has troubled the Ugandan batsmen throughout the series, proved decisive once again as he claimed figures of 4/27.

Brief pockets of resistance from Anas Baig (25), Kenneth Waiswa (20), and a late cameo from Juma Miyaji (36) helped add some respectability to the total, but Uganda was never truly in the contest.

The Cricket Cranes will need to regroup quickly ahead of the second and final match of the series on Wednesday.
