Crystal Palace appeals Conference League demotion
Crystal Palace initially earned a Europa League spot, but due to an ownership issue, were relegated to the Conference League, with Nottingham Forest taking their place.
However, the Eagles haven't given up, and according to Sky Sports, are preparing legal action to challenge the decision.
More specifically, the English media outlet reports that the Court of Arbitration for Sport has confirmed Crystal Palace's appeal against their Europa League demotion.
This means they could still compete in UEFA's second-tier club competition, despite the initial ruling.
The final decision on where Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest will play next season will be made on August 11th.
As a reminder, Palace won the FA Cup last season, beating Manchester City 1-0 in the final to secure their Europa League place.
Forest, meanwhile, finished 7th in the Premier League, earning a spot in the Conference League.
