The scoring opened in the 20th minute when Dundee United's 19-year-old defender Samuel Cleall-Harding rose unmarked in the six-yard box to head in a corner from Ryan Strain.

Rangers responded quickly, equalizing in the 25th minute through Cyriel Dessers.

The Nigerian striker met a precise cross from Jefte with a well-directed header, beating Dundee United goalkeeper David Richards to level the score at 1-1.

The teams went into the break deadlocked, with Rangers showing signs of improvement after a shaky start.

The second half saw Rangers take control, and their persistence paid off in the 73rd minute when they were awarded a penalty following a VAR review for a foul on a Rangers player in the box.

Dessers stepped up, confidently dispatching the spot-kick to put Rangers ahead 2-1.

Just two minutes later, in the 75th minute, Rangers extended their lead through midfielder Nicolas Raskin.

The win was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season for Rangers, who have faced criticism for their inability to compete with rivals Celtic.
