David Beckham has gained over 1 MILLION Instagram followers since release of Netflix docuseries

David Beckham is enjoying a massive increase in his social media following.

The 48-year-old Manchester United and England legend is easily the most followed English athlete in the world.

The Inter Miami co-owner recently announced the release of his Netflix documentary series ‘Beckham’.

The four-part docuseries has since generated widespread frenzy on social media as the protagonist and former Three Lions captain has since seen a significant boost on his Instagram page.

A new study has revealed a massive increase in David Beckham’s follower count since the documentary was released on September 19.

Online casino comparison site Casino Alpha analyzed data on David Beckham’s social channels via Social Blade.

The study revealed Beckham, one of the richest footballers in the world, gained more than 1,027,110 followers on Instagram since the trailer was released for his new Netflix docuseries, Beckham. 

In just one day, Beckham’s follower count grew by a huge 105,987 accounts, the day after the documentary's release. 

Beckham is a global icon of the beautiful game spoke out like he never has before, alongside his wife, Victoria Beckham, having played for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

The docuseries offers an insight into the lives of the Beckhams, with input from David’s family, former teammates and legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. 

The documentary also touches on many uncomfortable topics, such as an alleged cheating scandal involving Beckham and Rebecca Loos, his former personal assistant.
