Nikola Jokic touched down this morning at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, in Southern China's largest city, to a rapturous welcome.
A horse head amongst the gifts!
Hordes of fans surrounded the Serbian basketball star, following his every move. They sported Jokic jerseys and even his signature "Peppa Pig" sneakers. Chants of "Nikola, Nikola..." echoed through the airport as Jokic made his way through the crowds.
According to Sportal, among the many gifts, Nikola Jokic received a horse's head! Well, a statue of one, crafted from models of the sneakers he wore throughout last NBA season.
The Serbian center couldn't hide his amusement. He and his teammates will be in China for five days, and they're sure to be met with enthusiastic fans wherever they go.
