Djokovic sings in honor of Miloš Teodosić, Bogdanović lights a cigarette and Jokić says he wants to be like him
Miloš Teodosić will be remembered as one of the best point guards in European basketball history, leaving his mark wherever he played.
On the day he officially announced his retirement, former teammates from his club and national teams, along with admirers of his game, shared video messages expressing their gratitude.
Among the first were Stefan Marković, Nemanja Nedović, Marco Belinelli, Nikola Vučević, Bogdan Bogdanović and Nikola Jokić.
Novak Djokovic also joined in, sharing heartfelt words for his close friend.
Djokovic marked Teodosić's retirement by paraphrasing a song: "One day, many will regret that I'm gone. A song and memories of Captain Teo will remain." He then added:
"Teo, brother, congratulations on an incredible career. You brought us so much joy. You're a legend of Serbian and European basketball. Wherever you played, you made basketball beautiful, day and night. Thank you for returning to Red Star in your later years, showing loyalty and love for our beloved club. I'm happy you're celebrating tonight with friends and loved ones. I wish you all the best in this new chapter. See you soon, it's an honor to know you."

Bogdan Bogdanović also congratulated Teodosić on an amazing career, saying it was a privilege to be a part of his basketball journey.
The Serbian national team captain expressed how much their shared moments meant to him, emphasising that Teo was a role model who taught him a lot both on and off the court, and a huge inspiration.
At the end of his message, Bogdanović jokingly lit a cigarette with his coffee in Teo's honour.
Nikola Jokić also shared a message, stating it was an honor to share the court with such a basketball master.
"Captain, you're going down in history as a legend. It's a shame your career has to end, but it's certainly one that all of us who play basketball envy and aspire to. As a fan, thank you for all the medals. As a teammate, thank you for the time we spent together, on and off the court. It was an honor and a pleasure sharing the court with you. Enjoy retirement, maestro!" said Jokić.
