TalkSPORT pundit, Ally McCoist, has warned Arsenal not to ruin their salary structure to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
McCoist, a former star for Sunderland, Rangers, and a one-time Ballon d'Or nominee in 1987 has issued the warning to Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board.
McCoist has raised concerns about a potential transfer move, citing rumors of the player's wage demands nearing £30 million per year.
McCoist wants Arsenal to ignore Mbappe noise
When asked if Arsenal should match Mbappe’s huge wage demands, he said: “No. No chance. Not only would you break it, you’d absolutely have to obliterate it and destroy it.
"Once you do that, you know, it’s happening. “There are knocks on the door, ‘He’s on this, I’m only on a quarter of that, I’ve scored this many goals’, etc, its best to avoid that."
