On Tuesday, in a hotel near Wembley Stadium, Daniel Dubois' primary spokesperson was promoter Frank Warren. On Wednesday, during the public workout, that role was filled by Dubois' trainer, Don Charles.

This is how a Boxingscene.com analysis of the champions' official training sessions begins, ahead of the massive unification bout between Usyk and Dubois this Saturday night.

Oleksandr Usyk, the 36-year-old Ukrainian recognised as one of the best fighters of his generation, fulfilled his media obligations with his usual confidence and professionalism.

The WBO, WBA, and IBF title holder appeared calm and assured in his abilities and accomplishments, speaking with warmth and composure, as he has done before, even when in the shadow of names like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Now, leading up to Saturday's fight, it's primarily Dubois' team trying to present him as a genuine threat to Usyk. From the perspective of Charles – a dedicated, passionate, and protective mentor – Dubois' psychological stability is the most important investment.

"I'm focused and ready to cause chaos in the ring," Dubois stated on Wednesday. "I'm grateful for this opportunity and ready to seize it. I'm ready for the moment."

When asked why he uses the word "chaos" so often, he replied: "Watch on Saturday – we're going to win! This means everything to our whole team. We've worked hard, and we're not going to let this chance slip away."

The 25-year-old Dubois might have believed he "let" an opportunity slip away in his previous encounter with Usyk, despite sending the Ukrainian to the canvas with a blow later ruled a low blow.

After that fight, Charles and Warren began rebuilding Dubois' confidence. His knockout victories over Kevin Lerena, Trevor Bryan and Bogdan Dinu are evidence that this second preparation for Usyk is operating under the motto of "chaos."

Usyk, charismatic yet reserved, remained calm during his public workout, entering to techno music – a nod to his Eastern European roots. While he said little, his silence conveyed confidence.

While Usyk was in the ring, Charles spoke to DAZN, emphasizing the importance of the moment: "Ever since Daniel started boxing, everything has led to this night. All his work and the sacrifices he's made – he hasn't had a normal childhood. It's all for Saturday night."

When asked if a victory would make him a legendary trainer, Charles replied: "That's the goal. You know I'm a spiritual person. Ever since I arrived in England at 14, I knew this was my path."

"We've already reached one peak – Daniel became a world champion. Now he's going to become the undisputed champion. Every time I say it, I get goosebumps."

"I believe Usyk is facing Daniel at the worst possible time for himself, and for Daniel, this is the perfect time. At 25, the man is in his prime physical and mental condition."

"A man is a product of his environment. The people around Daniel right now are a perfect fit. It's all the result of a combination of positive factors."

"In my dream, Daniel just does his job and wins by a decisive knockout. I told you – knockout."

Eddie Hearn says a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois is set to be sanctioned by Turki Alalshikh.

"I'm not underestimating Usyk. He's a legend, regardless of the outcome. Even if Daniel beats him, Usyk will still be one of the greats."

Charles revealed that Dubois' training camp was modeled after that of Wladimir Klitschko – one of the most iconic champions before the Usyk era.

After Charles' interview, Carl Frampton – on behalf of DAZN – reminded everyone that boxing is "a young man's sport." But while that's often true, Usyk remains dangerous at 36, while Dubois will try to dethrone the most accomplished and professional active boxer in the world.
