Elizabeth Oshoba: Nigerian boxer cancels fight against Melissa Parker
Nigerian boxing star Elizabeth Oshoba will no longer make her boxing debut for Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
Oshoba was set to take on seasoned American fighter Melissa "Lady Hitman" Parker in Orlando, Florida.
However, the latest development is that the fight between Oshoba and Parker has been cancelled.

This featherweight bout was about showcasing MVP Prospects going against veteran prowess across 14 events
It was going to be Oshoba's first time having a professional boxing fight in the United States of America.
Oshoba took to her official social media platforms to announce that the fight will no longer take place.
Along with a photo was a message that said, "Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know my fight scheduled for Friday night has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond my control.
"Of course I’m disappointed after all the hard work in camp and was ready to put on a show, but I know everything happens for a reason. 🙏🏽
"This is just part of the journey — God’s plan is always bigger than mine.
"Thank you to my team and everyone who’s been supporting me, the love never goes unnoticed.
"I’ll be back in the ring soon, stronger and hungrier. 💪🏽🥊"
Oshoba who fights at the 126-pound featherweight limit has been climbing the WBA and WBO rankings.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medalist is expected to return the ring soon.
