Erik Ten Hag favourite as Premier League nominates four for Manager of the Month award

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag and three others have been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month. 

Ten Hag will face strong competition from three other managers after the Premier League released the shortlisted candidates for the November award via a post on social media. 

The Dutchman has been recognised alongside Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth, and Rob Edwards of newly promoted outfit, Luton Town. 

Per the League’s website, Ten Hag’s United defied mounting injuries to register a perfect November. 

The Red Devils won all three matches in the month without conceding a single goal to move to within six points of leaders Arsenal.

Ten Hag’s Reds defeated Fulham, Luton and Everton to close the gap between them and the teams in the top four.

United’s form sees their manager join defender Harry Maguire to be nominated for Premier League awards for the month. 

Meanwhile, while the United manager is the favourite for the award after a perfect month, he has competition. 

Ten Hag faces Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe whose Magpies produced two impressive wins, including a dominant 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea. 

Another contender is Iraola of Bournemouth, who also registered two wins in three, while Luton’s Edwards only managed just one win in three games.
