Spain kick off EURO 2024 in style
Spain dominated from the first whistle in a highly anticipated match at Berlin's Olympiastadion.
Luis de la Fuente's team broke the deadlock through Atletico Madrid striker Álvaro Morata, who continued his record of scoring in big tournaments for Spain, with a fine finish.
Fabián Ruiz and Dani Carvajal added two more goals before halftime, leaving Croatia stunned, the latter, created by the record-breaking Lamine Yamal, who became the youngest player to ever feature at the Euros.
The Spanish team continued pressing in the second half, while Croatia struggled to find any inroads.
Despite a few flashes of hope, Croatia's performance was nothing to write home about, and their path forward in this competition has taken a huge hit.
Spain, on the other hand, looked dynamic and confident, with a mouth-watering match against Italy next up
