Argentine attacking midfielder Claudio Echeverri has become the major transfer story of the upcoming winter transfer window after attracting major interest from the biggest clubs in Europe following impressive performances during the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

Echeverri attracting European attention

Echeverri, nicknamed “The Little Devil" and likened to Argentine legend Lionel Messi, has become one of the most interesting prospects in world football after scoring five goals in five games at the U-17 World Cup, including a hat-trick against rivals Brazil in the quarterfinals.

The young forward has now reportedly been courted by Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, AC Milan, Juventus, Inter, Paris Saint-Germain, and Benfica, who all covet the Argentine star-in-the-making.

Echeverri reportedly has a €30 million release clause with his current club, River Plate, who are clearly aware of the talent that they have on their hands.

The 17-year-old has already made four senior appearances for River Plate, and is highly rated by the club and country.
