The former Manchester United goalie has been out of a job since leaving Old Trafford in July, with several clubs rumoured to be interested but none making a firm approach.

The goalkeeper is apparently excited about the possibility of joining the Seville-based club, who currently sit sixth in La Liga after 12 games.

Crucially, Betis and Manchester United could play each other in Europe's second-tier competition if the Red Devils drop down from the Champions League which is a real possibility.

Erik ten Hag's men are bottom of their group with just 3 points from 4 games, while Betis sit top of their Europa League group with nine points from four matches.
