They extended their winning streak to seven games and their clean sheet to six with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze’s goal did the job for the Gunners as the England international scored his first Premier League goal for Arsenal against his former club.

As it happened

Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori, who were rested in midweek, are brought back into Arsenal's starting line-up by Mikel Arteta.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner brought in Adam Wharton and Daichi Kamada after the pair started the Conference League match against AEK Larnaca on the bench.

The first 35 minutes of the game looked cagey without any penetration from Arsenal, with Palace holding their defensive shape.

However, the Gunners had to rely on a set piece to break Glasner’s team and score the first goal. Declan Rice's beautiful delivery into the box was headed down by Gabriel Magalhães to Eze’s path in the box, who unleashed a shot to beat the goalkeeper.

In the second half, Arsenal pushed for the second goal and almost got it, but Gabriel’s header hit the crossbar.

The Gunners held on to their one-goal lead until full time, with the win taking them four points above Bournemouth, six points above Manchester City and seven points above Liverpool.
