Fenerbahçe deny dispute between Mourinho and Durán after manager's stern warning
Reports surfaced on Wednesday in international media alleging that Jhon Durán had failed to report to the start of training camp.
The Colombian forward's decision to miss the club's preseason training prompted criticism from manager José Mourinho.
Fenerbahçe deny reports
Fenerbahçe's communications director, Alper Yemenciler, has denied any report of a rift between Mourinho and Duran.
Yemenciler stated, as reported by Abola, "The alleged comments attributed to our coach, José Mourinho, regarding our player Jhon Durán in the foreign press are completely false.
"Our coach has made no such statement. Our player arrived in Portugal last night to join the team's training camp in the Algarve."
Durán is one of Fenerbahçe's new signings for this season, joining on loan from Al Nassr, who acquired him last January from Aston Villa for €77 million.
Fenerbahçe arrived in Portugal on Tuesday to begin their pre-season training camp. Their schedule includes matches against Portimonense (July 17th), UD Leiria (July 20th), Al Ittihad (July 23rd), and Benfica (July 26th).
