Former PSG Star Lavezzi hospitalized in Uruguay after being stabbed following an altercation with family

According to reports from the Sun, former Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi has been hospitalized following a concerning incident at his home in José Ignacio, Uruguay. 

The event took place in the early hours of Tuesday. Lavezzi, known as "Pocho", reportedly suffered a small stab wound to the abdomen and a fracture to the collarbone, though there are conflicting accounts about the nature of his injuries.

According to Clarin, a prominent Argentine newspaper, the police are currently investigating the incident but have only confirmed an injury to Lavezzi's shoulder blade. 

The confusion arises from different reports; some claim he was stabbed, while others suggest he may have been injured in a fall. Clarin describes the episode as confusing and states that a medical report is pending to determine Lavezzi's exact state of health.

The incident reportedly occurred after a family argument, with emergency services being called to the scene around 5 a.m. Lavezzi was with his partner and part of his family at the time. He was then transported to the Cantegril Clinic in Punta del Este for treatment.

Lavezzi, who retired from professional football after a career that included stints at PSG, Napoli, and the Argentine national team, had been living in Uruguay since his retirement.
