The transfer window is a period of constant movements as players and coaches look to settle into new teams.

And at KCCA, each transfer window usually comes with many departing and others arriving.

Pulse Sports has already reported about eight players out of contract at the club and expected to either leave or sign new contracts to stay.

But there are KCCA players who were out of the team last season and are now set to return to Lugogo to fight for their places on the team.

The first is Herbert Achai, who spent last season out following knee surgery.

The left-back is back to full fitness and will return to the team for preseason in a bid to regain his place in the group.

Achai was one of KCCA’s most essential players by the time he got injured and had made the left-back position his own.

Sources have told Pulse Sports that the defender recovered and could have played a bit of last season had the club registered him.

In Achai’s absence, Brian Majwega was Morley Byekwaso’s trusted man for the job on the left side of the defence, but the veteran is one of the players out of contract and expected to leave.

Mustafa Kizza, the other option at left back, is also out of contract but in talks with the club to stay.

The other player returning to Lugogo is striker Brian Kayanja, who left for Maroons on loan after failing to nail a starting place in the team.

Kayanja is said to have asked for a loan deal away from Lugogo to get more playing time after failing to break into the team.

The former Soltilo Bright Stars and UPDF FC player was behind Tshisungu Kankonde, Muhammad Shaban, Charles Lwanga and Brian Aheebwa in the pecking order.

He is now expected to return for preseason as the team prepares for the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminaries and domestic action.

Young left-back Ibrahim Juma is also expected to return after a loan deal at Spanish side CD Leganes.

The Spanish side has yet to explore the option to buy, and the player will likely be fighting for a place in the team at Lugogo.

Elvis Mwanje is the other player expected to make a return to Lugogo after the expiration of his loan deal with Elite Falcons in Dubai.
