Following the last set of round three group stage games played tonight, we are set for the business end of the competition, and the fixtures have been drawn up ahead of the knockout round.
What teams made the Euro 2024 knockout round?
From Group A, Germany and Switzerland made it through and Hungary who finished third, missed out on one of the four best losers spots despite racking up three points due to their poor goal difference.
From Group B, the late Mattia Zaccagni dagger meant Croatia crashed out alongside Albania while Spain (group leaders) moved ahead along with Italy.
Group C will have three representatives in the next round, with England, Denmark and Slovenia finishing in the top three spots, respectively. The Slovenes qualified as one of the best losers.
From Group D, Austria were the surprise winner of the classification, with France coming in second and the Netherlands finishing third but among the best losers.
Group E produced a peculiar outcome, with all four teams finishing on four points. Hence, Ukraine became the first team to exit the group stage of the Euros after amassing four points. Romania won the group, Belgium came in second and Slovakia came in third and took one of the best loser slots.
Group F saw final-day drama as Georgia shocked Portugal to clinch a third-place finish and the final best-loser slot. The Selecao won the group despite the defeat to Georgia on Matchday Three. The Czech Republic came second.
