Francis Ngannou destroys Renan Ferreira for late son Kobe to win PFL heavyweight title
At the PFL Battle of the Giants main event in Riyadh's Kingdom Arena, Francis Ngannou made a devastating comeback to mixed martial arts by crushing Renan Ferreira in the first round.
Early on, the former UFC heavyweight champion established dominance with powerful low kicks and a skillfully performed double-leg takedown.
At 3:22 of the first round, Ngannou secured his first PFL Super Fight title by launching a vicious ground-and-pound onslaught on Ferreira, who had attempted a triangle choke.

More than just a professional accomplishment, the win served as an extremely moving remembrance of Ngannou's late son Kobe, who was just 15 months old when he passed away.

In his post-fight interview, Ngannou grieved after the bout and dedicated the victory to Kobe.
Ngannou took a detour into the boxing world on his way to this momentous occasion, facing off against top opponents like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
Despite losing both fights by split decision to Fury and getting knocked out by Joshua, Ngannou's entry into the boxing arena was another milestone.
