From Amateur to LaLiga? Nigerian amateur footballer goes VIRAL after securing potential trial with Sevilla

The football dream of a young Nigerian amateur player might just be turning into reality. 

Osineye Oladipupo Ayotunde, popularly known as “Ola Great,” has already shut down social media after his bold approach to LaLiga club Sevilla on X (formerly Twitter) earned him a potential trial with one of the most prestigious clubs in Spanish football.

Ola Great, an attacking midfielder for Superstar FC in Lagos Liga, the ongoing amateur Nigerian league, took a leap of faith by tweeting directly at Sevilla FC, asking for a trial. 

To his greatest surprise, the Europa League giants responded with an exciting challenge: his tweet would lead to an opportunity if it garnered 100,000 retweets.

To everyone’s amazement, Ola’s tweet surpassed the target, racking up an impressive 139,000 retweets, with over 55,000 gained in the first 23 hours alone. 

Realizing he was on the verge pf achieving his dream, he shared an appreciation thanking fans and netizens for their support on X saying: 'Thank you to everyone that made this happen, Thank you Twitter NG for this.. My heart is full of so much emotions right now. All I can say is THANK YOU!!! I will be ready.'

This viral moment brought his talent to the forefront, with his peers and mutuals applauding him for his vision, passing, and overall footballing intelligence.

Ola’s matchday highlights, already popular among his mutual followers, added further weight to the buzz surrounding him.

The overwhelming response on social media has been nothing short of celebratory. 

Famous Nigerian skitmaker Craze Clown took to X, offering to pay for Ola’s passport if he needed one, saying, ‘Congratulations @TheRealOlagreat … If you never get your passport ready, I go pay for new one make your year sweet from January.’

This team, competing in Spain's ninth-tier Tecera Andaluza, will feature foreign players aged 18, in line with FIFA regulations.
