From Victor to Victor? Chelsea eye ₦73 Billion move for Super Eagles star as Osimhen alternative

Chelsea have been on fire in recent weeks, thrashing West Ham 3-0 at the weekend before demolishing Barrow 5-0 in the Carabao Cup.

The Blues have found their groove and scoring form, but the sense remains that despite Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku seemingly firing on all cylinders, Enzo Maresca still lacks a killer in front of goal.

Chelsea's interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is well-documented. After a deadline-day move failed to materialise, there have been reports that the club could return for the 25-year-old in January.

However, according to TBR Football, the Blues are doing homework on Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface and have scouted him recently.

Boniface, 24, is viewed as a cheaper option and more suited to Maresca's style of play. He would also command a wage that aligns with the club's structure.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is expected to start for Galatasaray in their Europa League clash with PAOK.
