Remo Stars’ Academy, Beyond Limits, will go head-to-head with their counterparts from MLSNEXT, Philadelphia Union, in the first round of the knockout stage.

Beyond Limits are looking to continue the brilliant showing so far in the competition by surpassing the round of 16 tagged the survive and advance round.

The game against the Philadelphia Union is slated for later this evening at 7:30 pm Nigerian time.

Remo Stars’ journey so far

Beyond Limits have yet to look out of place amongst their mates competing in the U-17 category at the GA Cup in the United States.

The No Limits boys started their campaign with a penalty shootout victory over St. Louis City SC after the game ended 1-1.

It was also a 1-1 encounter in the second game against eventual group winners, Strikers FC, who defeated them via another penalty shootout.

But in their third game against Portland Timbers, the No Limits boys went all out to get their first three points and clean sheet in the competition.

Beyond proved too good for Timbers FC following a 2-0 win inspired by superstar, Muyideen Olude, who netted both goals.

The Ikenne boys have scored in all their matches so far, with four goals scored in three matches, an average of over 1.3 goals per game.

Muyideen Olude was the star and hero the last time as Remo Stars academy Beyond Limits sealed their first three points at the ongoing GA Cup in the United States of America.

A dominant display from the Nigerian side saw the talented Olude prove to be the difference, scoring in either half to help the No Limits to their first full victory.

Muyideen Olude was too hot to handle for Portland Timbers.

Olude scored a brilliant brace to inspire Beyond Limits to a comfortable 2-0 win over Timbers boys from Portland on Monday night.

With their first full points sealed, Remo Stars booked a spot in the knockout round of the MLS competition and will look to advance as far as possible.
