Olympics champion Gabby Thomas may have run in various cities around the world but none of them beats running in London.

Thomas is the Olympics champion, having won three gold medals at the Paris 2024 Games, her best-ever season but those memories do not come close to what she has experienced in the English capital.

The 28-year-old is off a less than impressive outing at the third leg of Grand Slam Track in Philadelphia where she was third in the women’s Short Sprints (200m and 100m) to take home $30,000. She loved the experience but according to her, London still remains no.1.

“My favorite place to compete has always been London (fans and atmosphere) but after this weekend, Philly comes close. Such a cool stadium and fans coming from all over,” Thomas posted on X.

Grand Slam Track took place at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania last weekend where Thomas finished in second in 200m and fifth in 100m for third overall with 13 points.

Thomas last raced in the English capital at the 2024 London Diamond League and will likely be back to experience the fans and atmosphere once more this year.

The American sprinter is also looking forward to winning her first world title in 200m at the 2025 World Championships following her Olympics heroics although stiff competition is expected from her American compatriots and Jamaican sprinters.
