The German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring circuit in Saxony will remain on the MotoGP calendar until at least 2031, following a new five-year contract extension.
The current agreement was set to expire at the end of the 2026 season.
The Sachsenring has hosted the German Grand Prix since 1998, with the exception of 2020 when the race was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, between 1961 and 1972, the Sachsenring hosted the East German Grand Prix, though not on the current circuit layout, which was originally comprised of public roads.
This past weekend's German Grand Prix saw record attendance at the Sachsenring, with over 250,000 fans attending the event.
Marc Marquez took the victory, marking his 12th win at the Sachsenring across all classes.
