Going Nowhere! Manchester United turn down £20m offer for disgraced ex-captain Maguire

Maguire may have been stripped of his captaincy but Manchester United will not let him leave the club on the cheap.

According to the DailyMail, West Ham have made a £20million offer for the defender that was immediately rejected.

The Europa Conference League winners are seeking reinforcements this summer after allowing Declan Rice move to Arsenal in a deal worth £105m.

Hammers boss David Moyes is a big admirer of Maguire but it is doubtful they will keep pushing given the size of his salary and also unclear if the England centre-back would be keen to make the move.

Maguire has fallen down the pecking order under Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and made only 16 Premier League appearances last season, becoming effectively 5th choice centre-back at Old Trafford.
