The LALIGA side has experienced a remarkable transformation following the arrival of the Manchester United youngster on a season-long loan deal.

This strategic move by the club has now rejuvenated and sparked their off-field activities and the club is set to capitalise more on Greenwood’s popularity.

Greenwood, 21, who joined the club on deadline day after a two-year absence from football, has brought about a series of positive outcomes for the club, even before showcasing his talent on the pitch.

Despite multiple accusations of domestic violence and coercive behaviour in the past, Getafe’s decision to sign the English boy has proved a masterstroke and beneficial in various ways.

One of the immediate impacts has been the surge in Getafe’s social media followers, largely attributed to the forward’s presence.

Additionally, sale of Greenwood’s jersey has skyrocketed and broken records, contributing to the club’s financial growth.

In a recent move, the club has turned their attention to their Nigerian fanbase for support in an ongoing competition to determine the most beautiful club kit in LALIGA.

Taking to their official Facebook page, Getafe reached out to their ‘Nigerian friends’ with a heartfelt message.

“Friends of Nigeria, the starboy needs your help,” the club posted.

“Let’s vote together for Getafe’s shirt as the most beautiful in LALIGA. Let’s go, all together, for the victory,” the club added.

This strategic outreach to Nigerian fans not only aims to enhance the club’s chances of winning the contest, but also further solidifies the bond between Getafe and its global growing fanbase thanks to the impact of Manchester United’s outcast, Mason Greenwood.
